Sometimes I wonder why and how it came to be that your eyes touched mine
this early day in spring.
I thought I knew how to do and say all the right things - just like I learned to do.
You looked in my eyes.
What's today?
Who am I?

I forgot to remember the time.
I forgot to remember what day it is.
With my head spinning 'round like balloons at a fair,
Back and forth, to and fro' here I go....
No escape for the thoughts in my head.

I forgot to remember my keys.
Did I leave them somewhere else or are they here...?
Right in front of my eyes everything is a blur,
Count to ten, then from there don't know where.
Heaven knows how I try to be clear...

...Since the day that we met I'm happy and forgetful.

I forgot to remember my friend.
She was waiting for me at that new café.
Wore my shirt inside out all day long yesterday;
My new teapot went dry on the stove.
I forgot to remember to eat.

I forgot to remember my plans...
Wrote them done in my blue book of 'things to do'.
Locked my keys in the trunk of my car - oh who cares!?
Suddenly my heart flies, here it goes...
Like a carousel horse 'round and 'round!

Since the day that we met I'm happy and forgetful.

But, I'll always remember you're here.

One summer night while sitting on the porch and dreaming of the wooden swing my grandpa made me.

I gazed up high and saw the moon upon the clouds above me dancing, twirling, celebrating.

Then I recalled what grandpa told me when I was a little girl of four and we were fishing.

He said to me, "on special nights the world awakes and you can see the angels and the moon dance."

***Cat-tails in the sky - riverbeds of stars - and I see the moon dancing there in the sky...Grandma's there, grandma's there whirling and twirling 'round , just like when they were first married so long ago - now I know where they both went.

Thoughts of that day, I suddenly remembered all the lessons and the things my grandpa taught me.

Recalling then...remembering he said you could be and can do anything you want to.

Told me to fly and reach the stars and grab your dreams and sing your songs and give the world a blessing.

Dance with the Moon...it's in your heart, above the clouds, on top of trees, upon the stars of evening.

Let's for a walk. Let's go...we'll have a talk. Da da da da da Groovey hat.
Groovey pair of pants. Choose your socks and underware too! We'll strut down the street. OOo... your dancin' feet! Come on down. We will strut the town. You and me and Groovey Hat three!

Picture that... Groovey Hat... Struttin' Stuff... Movin' Smooth... oozin' cool... copin' a lean... kick-butt boots... 'ya know what I mean?... Ya... deep dark shades 'neath that Groovey Hat.

Let's go for a walk. Let's go... we'll have a talk. Da da da da da... Groovey Hat. Groovey day today. Strut your stuff... we're on our way! We'll strut down the street. Oooo... your dancin' feet! Da da da da da... Come on down. We will strut the town. Shades of blue and Groovey Hats too.

In the Park a baby cries, two lovers touching, kites fly high.
Watching you, watching me, pretending not to notice or to see.
What's your name? I'll never know. Passing by, people come and go.
Sunny day, laughing breeze, swirling air, dancing leaves on trees.

In the park a sunny day, cotton clouds, children play.
Violets swaying on the hill, while bumblebees are sipping daffodils.
A sunny sky, a midday moon, dandelion yellow balloons.
Sundrops fall upon the earth; touch my face, giving life rebirth.

As I was calling your name in my mind yesterday,
thoughts of you filled my heart with a song.
As I imagined where you were and what you were doing,
my heart, it sang Felicitá!
